The UK based boy band One Direction has landed in the United States and will be performing at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards this year according to the official Twitter account for the awards show. The annual awards show will air live on Nickelodeon on March 31, 2012 and lined up to host the event is actor Will Smith.
You can also catch One Direction on tour with Nickelodeon stars Big Time Rush. Below are the remaining show tour dates for both bands.
March 2, 2012: Washington, DC – Patriot Center
March 3, 2012: Boston, MA – Agganis Arena
March 6, 2012: Durham, NC – Durham PAC
March 7, 2012: Nashville, TN – Bridgestone Arena
March 9, 2012: New York, NY – Radio City Music Hall

As a heads up, unofficial websites and Twitter accounts have been popping up and making announcements about the nominees and performers at this years Kid’s Choice Awards. As of now, Nickelodeon has not released any of that information, stating on their Twitter account:

Nickelodeon made the exciting announcement today that Will Smith (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) will be hosting the 25th annual 2012 Kids Choice Awards! The show will take place March 31 at 8 p.m. ET and nominees will be announced in February.
With “Men In Black III” hitting theaters on May 25, 2012, Will should be bringing some of his super agent skills along for the fun.
Are you a fan of Will and his shows, movies, and music? Maybe he’ll even perform an oldie but goodie or a collaboration with his children Willow and Jaden.
