“Victorious” star Matt Bennett recently acted as Superboy in Max Landis’ (Chronicle) short film “The Death and Return of Superman” with huge stars like Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Elden Henson, Morgan Krantz, Zach Cregger, Ron Howard, Simon Pegg, Sarah Shahi, and Barats and Beretta. This week, Max uploaded a trailer for the film, giving us a look at all its crazy glory.
Here’s the synopsis:
The Death and Return of Superman forever changed comics. Superman’s tragic death was not just mourned by comic book readers, it echoed throughout the entire country. What is never mentioned, however, is just how poorly conceived The Death and Return of Superman saga was and how it shattered the integrity of the comic book industry. A follow up to his previous comic web videos Cooking with Comics: Knightfall and Vague Recollections of: Watchmen, writer/director Max Landis shows us through reenactment just how ridiculous The Death of Superman saga became and how it affected the world of comics.
Sounds awesome! Check out the trailer for the short below.
This Monday, One Direction stars Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson were on set filming an episode of “iCarly.” MTV announced the plot synopsis as:
Carly returns home sick after a trip and discovers that One Direction has accepted an invitation to perform on their web show. Not long after arriving, bandmate Harry becomes sick and we see Carly doting over him. Realizing Harry is playing sick for the attention, they hatch a plan to get him back in the group by telling him Gibby has become their newest bandmember. Meanwhile, Spencer becomes a personal trainer and gives a bratty girl a makeover.
After reading this, many fans became angry that Harry was being treated as the lead member of 1D and the others had smaller, less important roles. A rumor spread that the “iCarly” producers officially stated that Harry was the main focus of the fanbase, and thus deserved a larger role. One fan (@KatieHoran14) wrote their concerns to the show’s creator Dan Schneider, tweeting:
@DanWarp “Harry is the main focus of the episode, because he’s the main focus of the fanbase” – iCarly producers ….WTF IS THIS???
Taking notice, Dan Schneider made sure to debunk the statement:
@KatieHoran14 No producers of iCarly ever said that. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. People make things up – a lot.
What are your thoughts on the matter? Are you excited to see the episode?
While driving through the LA area, “Victorious” star Avan Jogia spotted the school used as the basis for the show’s Hollywood Arts High and snapped a pic (above). He wrote:
This seems vaguely familiar,things you find while buying affordable swedish designed furniture
Fellow star Victoria Justice saw the picture, tweeting:
HAHA. Omg, that’s brilliant.
Avan:
@VictoriaJustice maybe we should visit?
Victoria:
@ATJogia I think we should show up on a school day with full on backpacks & school supplies & pretend like we’re @ Hollywood Arts. Down? ;{)
Avan:
@VictoriaJustice Down.![]()
That would be such an amazing surprise for the students there!
What do you think? Should the “Victorious” cast spend the day at Burbank High School?
