The 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards nominees were just announced, and we’re excited to report that actor Alex Heartman has been nominated in the Favorite TV Actor category against some pretty big name actors! You should recognize Alex as the Red Ranger from Power Rangers!

Ah! We remember back when the original Power Rangers was on TV (Pink Power Ranger all the way!) and we are SO excited that a new Power Rangers saga is heading to Nickelodeon! All the action begins this Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 12n/11c with the premiere of “Power Rangers Samurai“!

Hector David Jr., who plays the Green Ranger in “Power Rangers Samurai,” recently met with Twist Magazine about his role in the show. Did you know that Hector had dreamed about being the Green Ranger since he was a child?
Here’s what Hector had to say:
I was the green Power Ranger for like every Halloween, I had every single toy, my mom was telling me this story this weekend that when I would be watching Power Rangers, if I walked away for a second my grandpa would change it, I would come back into the living room and throw a fit crying that he changed the Power Rangers and I would be freaking out all over the floor throwing a tantrum because Power Rangers wouldn’t be on anymore. I grew up with the show and the fact that I’m a part of it now and I play my favorite ranger is just beyond amazing and I’ve been super blessed to do so.
Such a great story! Do you think he makes a good Green Ranger? We sure do!
