A new “Yo Gabba Gabba!” DVD is arriving on April 17, 2012 titled “Yo Gabba Gabba: Super Spies.” The DVD will be released by Paramount, and we’re betting it’s great! “Transformers: The Ride – 3D” opens in Universal Studios Hollywood this May and the new teaser trailer (below) gives fans a first-hand look at the epic action. The new spot played during yesterday’s Super Bowl.

This Saturday, February 4, the 39th Annie Awards were held at UCLA – honoring the best in animation for the year. Nickelodeon, partnering with Paramount and DreamWorks Animation, led with eight awards at the end of the night while Disney recieved six and DreamWorks Animation won five.
“Rango” won a total of five awards for best picture, character design (Mark “Crash” McCreery), writing (John Logan, Gore Verbinski and James Byrkit), editing (Craig Wood), and the first ever members’ favorite award.
“Kung Fu Panda 2″ director Jennifer Yuh Nelson won the award for best director, making her the first solo woman director to win the award! Nelson is said to be developing another project for DreamWorks, but nothing has been released yet.

Congratulations to the producers of DreamWorks Animation‘s “Kung Fu Panda 2” and “Puss in Boots” and Paramount Pictures’ “Rango” and “The Adventures of Tintin,” who have been nominated for Producers Guild of America awards. Winners will be announced at the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, January 21 in Hollywood.
