Game developer Gameloft will be releasing a “The Adventures of Tintin” game for the iPhone and iPad this winter to coincide with Nickelodeon Movies‘ “The Adventures of Titin: The Secret of the Unicorn.” The game closely follows the story of the film and allows players to stealthily navigate through different settings, leading Tintin, Snowy, and Captain Haddock on their great treasure hunt.
The game looks stunning and, according to those who have played its demo, is quick to pick up and play.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” hits theaters on October 26 in Europe and December 23 in the United States.

Back in June, we reported that Universal Pictures was going through with plans to produce a film based on the Hasbro Ouija Board. Unfortunately, this week Universal announced that they will be scrapping the film.
This news comes only weeks after the studio reportedly also dropped their plans for a Clue and Monopoly film. The films were to be part of a six-year partnership between Universal and Hasbro. The films still in the roster are the 2012 “Battleship” (with aliens), a Stretch Armstrong film starring Taylor Lautner, and an epic-scale adaptation of Candy Land from Kevin Lima (Enchanted).
Are you sad that these films won’t be made by Universal, or do you think they weren’t good ideas?
Check out the trailer for next year’s “Battleship” below.

Play as the quick-witted reporter Tintin, his dog Snowy, friend Captain Haddock, and others in the adventure to find the ancient ship The Unicorn. With nonstop action, ever-changing gameplay, unlockable characters, and co-op mode, the game is sure to please. And if these action scenes are any indication of what we can expect from the film, we can’t wait for it to hit theaters!

Netflix has recently introduced a “Just For Kids” tab that makes it even easier for children and young adults (and grownups too) to search for their favorite movies and shows. On the Netflix website, users can click the tab to see suggested, streaming films from a library of more than 1,000. An even cooler feature: users can scroll through lists of character images like “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “The Fairly OddParents” to find their favorite films and shows.
Users can also browse by genres like Disney, Animated, Sci Fi, and Nickelodeon.
