Congratulations to Nickelodeon for experiencing its most-watched second quarter in the network’s history with the help of “iCarly” ranking as basic cable’s top entertainment telecast with total viewers this quarter, and “SpongeBob SquarePants” ranking as the number-one series on all TV with kids.

All of Nickelodeon’s channels helped out with the ranking, including Nick at Nite, TeenNick, Nicktoons and Nick Jr.

This was also Nickelodeon’s 61st straight quarter as the top basic cable network with kids 2-11 and total viewers – the longest run of its kind.

Nickelodeon Sees Higher Rates At Upfront

June 20, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

This year Nickelodeon has seen a rise in its ad rate sales at the kids upfront. The upfront consists of networks selling up to 80% of their ad inventory ahead of the upcoming TV season.

This year Nick and Nick at Night saw ad rates raise as much as 9% compared to last year.

Jim Perry, Nickelodeon’s executive VP of brand sales, said:

The broader marketplace is really accepting Nick as a place to reach adults. The co-viewing story is very strong whether it’s moms watching TV with their kids or parents watching ‘Spongebob’ and ‘iCarly’ with their older kids.

Interesting!

June 13, 2010 |  by  |  No Comments

The movie “Look Who’s Talking” will be airing tonight (June 13) on Nick at Nite at 8pm EST. The movie stars John Travolta and Kirstie Alley and is one of our all time favorites! It was made in 1989 and you definitely don’t want to miss it!

In the movie, Kirstie plays a single New York accountant, Mollie, who becomes pregnant and her married boyfriend shows no intention of leaving his wife. Once the baby comes, Mollie tries to find him a father – turns out she likes a cab driver/part-time pilot James, played by John Travolta, who is her babysitter.
