The 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards will air on March 31, 2012! Below is the list of categories and nominees. Let us know who you’ll be voting for! Check out the full list of Nominees after the jump.
This Saturday, February 4, the 39th Annie Awards were held at UCLA – honoring the best in animation for the year. Nickelodeon, partnering with Paramount and DreamWorks Animation, led with eight awards at the end of the night while Disney recieved six and DreamWorks Animation won five.
“Rango” won a total of five awards for best picture, character design (Mark “Crash” McCreery), writing (John Logan, Gore Verbinski and James Byrkit), editing (Craig Wood), and the first ever members’ favorite award.
“Kung Fu Panda 2″ director Jennifer Yuh Nelson won the award for best director, making her the first solo woman director to win the award! Nelson is said to be developing another project for DreamWorks, but nothing has been released yet.

The Oscar nominees are in! A big congratulations to the cast and crew of Nickelodeon Movies‘ “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” and “Rango” and DreamWorks Animation‘s “Puss in Boots” and “Kung Fu Panda 2,” which are all up for Academy Awards this year.

Who do you hope wins?
Jack Black returned for his third year as king of the 13th Annual Renal Teen Prom on Sunday at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks – where nearly 300 kidney disease patients and guests attended for a night of fun held by the “nonprofit, patient-focused, patient-run organization.” There, accompanied by “Glee’”s Brad Ellis, Jack sang awesome renditions of “Kung Fu Fighting” and the “Double Rainbow” song!

On Monday, January 16, film legend Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Bolt) will guest star on “Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness” as Master Shifu’s father. The episode premieres at 10:30 am ET/PT.
When Shifu’s father returns to the Jade Palace, Po thinks the family reunion will be so sweet. He soon learns that Shifu and his father don’t get along.
