Jack Black Does Not Want A “School Of Rock 2″

June 6, 2011 |  by  |  1 Comment

Jack Black hit the red carpet yesterday at the premiere of “Kung Fu Panda 2″ the Vue Cinema in Westfield, London, England. While Jack is happy to know his film is entertaining fans around the world, there is one project he refuses to work on.

In a recent interview with Sunday Mail where he discussed parenthood, “Gulliver’s Travels,” and “Kung Fu Panda 2,” he explained that he feels “School of Rock” is his best film and one that he is wary of returning to.

I am pretty sure School Of Rock 2 is the film that’s going on my tombstone. It was my favourite one when it all came together. It was tailor-made for me and so brilliantly-written and directed. It was a great experience.

It seems until a “School of Rock 2″ script comes around that truly impresses Jack, we will never see the sequel, which would probably star Nickelodeon’s own Miranda Cosgrove, who made her feature film debut in the 2003 hit “School of Rock.” Miranda played Summer Hathaway, a student who becomes the band’s manager.

What do you think? Should there be a “School of Rock 2″ or is it best left alone?
