It is being reported that Viacom, the parent company of Nickelodeon, gave M Night Shyamalan a $150 million budget to directed “The Last Airbender” movie. In addition, it is being reported that the movie received a marketing budget of $130 million.
With that being said, many people are curious if the movie will be able to make back the $280 million at the box office. If it does succeed in making the money back, Viacom has said that it wants the movie to be the first installment in a trilogy – which would mean two more “The Last Airbender” films would be on the way from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies.

There have been rumors that there will be a fourth season of the popular show “Avatar: The Last Airbender” on Nickelodeon. Apparently, the show cannot be wrapped up at the end of the third season and a fourth is necessary.
Also, keep in mind that the new “The Last Airbender” movie opens in theaters this July and is expected to be a huge hit with people of all ages. If the movie does well enough it can be expected that the television audience will raise – making a fourth season not only necessary for the story’s plot line but also making it a profitable decision for Nickelodeon.

M. Night Shyamalan, who recently wrote and directed “The Last Airbender” movie for Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, is working on a new movie with celebrities Bruce Willis, Gywneth Paltrow and Bradley Cooper.

Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz, stars of the upcoming movie “The Last Airbender,” will be attending the Target Fireworks Show in Detroit tonight (June 21). The actors will appear at a rooftop party atop the Miller Parking Garage.
