Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies new film “The Last Airbender” is set to hit theaters on July 2nd. The movie is directed by M. Night Shyamalan who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Above you can watch the Japanese movie trailer for the film – let us know what you think!
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that a new DVD is being released, called “Avatar: The Last Airbender The Complete Book 1 Collector’s Edition.” in anticipation for the upcoming Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Movies film “The Last Airbender.” The DVD will hit stores on June 22, 2010 and will let fans watch the storyline that inspired the new movie.
The collector’s edition DVD will include 7 discs, including the entire Book 1: Water compilation with special features and a bonus disc. Other special features include a behind-the-scenes documentary from the creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko which include never-before-seen development art, interviews with the creative team, fan testimonials and more.
The collector’s edition DVD set also includes: an exclusive preview of Avatar: The Last Airbender – the Art of the Animated Series, which is a book with unique, insider’s views of the amazing designs, storyboards, painting and animation

Word is that there may be a sequel comic to “The Last Airbender” movie being put out by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. The comic will be called “Zuko’s Story,” and above is a preview of the story/comic.
The script is set to be written by Dave Roman and Alison Wilgus with the artwork of the comic done by Nina Matsumoto.
Wonder if this comic will be turned into a movie!
