Nickelodeon Lets Go Of Animation Chief Brown Johnson After Poor Season Ratings
Nickelodeon has just let go of its animation chief Brown Johnson, the executive responsible for creating “Dora The Explorer” as well as being responsible for the animation airing on the network. This comes after the news that Nickelodeon is losing a lot of its young viewers.
Nickelodeon’s ratings are down 25% this summer compared to last in the 2-11 year old demographic.
Brown Johnson’s job will now be held by Russell Hicks, a 14-year Nickelodeon veteran and a chief creative officer. It sounds like there will be many more Nickelodeon shows on the way for kids! We’ll keep you posted!
