MTV has announced that exclusive footage from the highly anticipated film “The Dark Knight Rises” will debut during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The show will air live on MTV on June 3, 2012 at 9pm, and will be hosted by Russell Brand.

Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman will be at the awards show to celebrate the release of the exclusive footage.

“The Dark Knight Rises” will open in theaters on July 20, 2012.
