It sounds like One Direction might be getting their own television show on Nickelodeon! Here’s what a source revealed to Now Magazine:
Simon [Cowell] has vowed to launch them on the US X Factor, while Nickelodeon are in talks to give them their own show.
Wow! It sounds like Nickelodeon was really impressed with the guys’ appearance on “iCarly.” Would you like to see a One Direction TV show?
i don’t think they should get their own show no offense but they would kinda be taking BTR’s place if u know what i mean
They probably will but either way they are really good and deserve to have a show on nick. Plus BTR is kind of getting old….i dont really like them but everyone has their own opinion(:
No! Not a good idea. These boys are too old for an audience like Nick’s. I love them so much and all but I just think it’d ruin them. Yes they’re funny but let’s let them stick to their video diaries where they can be themselves and have no direction.

I don’t think they should , this is why , One Direction wants to have a teen/young adults (in there 20s) fan base (ages 12-24 maybe over ?) but that’s the age range they are targeting , if they have some Nickelodeon show , people might look up to these guys as some typical manufactured teen band like Big Time Rush , (well recently BTR proved to be more than a kiddie band since there recent hit from there 2nd album Elevate) anyways this is a X Factor group formed by the Simon Cowell , these guys might loose there identity , they are a British boy band not some American Boy band we have over here that was formed by some random or well known record label these guys were put together by one of the largest well known singing ”talent” competition show’s in the world by real talented singers. They rather appear on teen shows than having one or else it might cause conflicts and one thing might happened over an other , and that’s why these guys should not have some nickoldean or disney show.
I totally agree with you, I am from the UK, and a dedicated Directioner, also I wish the boys all the luck. But they have -real- talent, and if they ever had their own TV show on Nickelodeon or Disney it will make the fan-base younger, and therefore, make them – as you mentioned about BTR – a “kiddie band”. They are so much more than that. I personally feel that Simon Cowell is just getting as much money out of them as possible, don’t get me wrong, I think he is very clever in what he does, but sometimes, he doesn’t seem to have the best interests, of his acts, at heart. I get that they need to make themselves known across the pond, but I believe that it’s a bit early in their career to be doing so. They all love the UK so much, and it saddens me that the ‘big wigs’ over in America could be turning them into something manufactured, they love what they do, and it doesn’t seem fair on the lads, if what they want to do, begins to develop into a chore. I am somewhat afraid that when they have “Made It Big” in America, their career could decline, because where else is there to go once they have broke it big over there. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but in all respect, I think that executives with their record label, and Nickelodeon are just seeing the money making side of thing, which I can understand because of the society these days, but if you really think about it, it’s something more than that, it’s the lives of 5 young lads, doing what they love, and all they want to do is make their fans happy. Sorry if this rant is ostentatious, but I believe that my – and others who feel the same – feelings should be known.
They can’t get their own show. They would totally take Big Time Rush’s place. And it’s not fair to try to get more viewers by using one of the most popular boy bands. And if they didn’t notice yet. They can’t make every singing group into a show. One Direction should star in other shows but not have their own. And anyways they’re singers not actors. And it should stay that way.
IKR, they are already more popular than Big Time Rush as a band, they can’t take their place on TV too! It would be totally unfair for the BTR guys and also Rushers
Look, I am a massive BTR fan,and I don’t hate on other bands but them having a TV show is totally copying! Big Time Rush and 1 Direction share some fans. And BTR are scared of losing their fans. BTR have worked so hard, and every one thinks there is major competition between them and 1D, there isn’t. So everyone, stop trying to make them a-like, they are two different band just sharing the same dream. But 1D are not actors, they are singers. BTR are singers/dancers AND actors.

i think they need a show. they are a good band. big time rush is a show mostly about comedy they forget about the music it is a show for kids 8-10. one direction is for ages 11-16 so that is the same for a show for them i love the idea…….. it makes nick for pre-teens now.

And the 1D show would probably get younger audiences than BTR. Mostly cause of their music. Their music isn’t like BTR’s. BTR’s music can relate to almost ANYONE no matter what age. 1D’s music can actually only relate to pre-teens and some of the teens. But that’s all…

Enough with the stupid music/band oriented shows! I mean Victorious, Big Time Rush, How To Rock, Austin and Ally (Disney), now this? Every new kids show is about the same old junk! Where’s the Nickelodeon that had shows teaching kids how to embrace being unique? Where’s the variety that use to help represent everyone? Now every show is a carbon copy of the previous, all about music, corny acting, and bad jokes. Doesn’t anyone at Nick headquarters understand that we do not need more of these “fame singer” lifestyle garbage shows? The market is completely saturated in this junk!

I just started watching One Direction and I loved there music,if they have a show than more people will know one direction thats how Selena Gomez got CRAZY Famous with Teens & KIDS!so i think it would be kind of cool

I love One Direction and I’ve loved them for a very long time but I just don’t think they should have their own show. I’m already really annoyed by all those fake directioners and if they get their own show they will look like 5 boys who are getting payed for their good-looking faces instead of their amazing voice. Im a HUGE directioner, and seriously, the 50+ percent of “fans” arent really thinking clearly. TRUE fans would want the best for them, to support them and all, but seriously? Nickelodeon? Their own tv show? nick’s PG, right? well, 1D isnt. LOL, if 1D made a TV show, Harry’ll probably be naked the whole time, Zayn would be intensely staring at a mirror, Niall will be stuffing his face with nando’s, Louis will probably be running around yelling “CARRROOOOTS” and telling everyone the mushroom joke, and Liam would be battling off all the spoons. They’d be talking about jubbilees and mammarys and chicken fillet, Harry and louis would be cracking p**** jokes all the time. Us true directioners want the REAL them, not some scripted boys acting. We dont want them to be directed, cz they only go in ONE DIRECTION, that is their OWN direction

Can I just say that they CAN act cause they are in an episode of iCarly? Just making that point clear.. I agree, they would probably become a ‘kid’ band, not a tween band. And don’t get me wrong, I love them SOO much and I went to go see their concert and BTW YOU GUYS WERE EPIC AND AMAZING!! But I don’t want them to fade away from their Gorgeous singing cause that’s where they came from. LOVE YOU SOO MUCH 1D!! x

I LOVE One Direction but i feel if they get a show they wont be taken seriously. BTR is enough for nick even though i dont really like them….and i would rather see there video diaries considering they are kind of innapropriate….I LOVE YOU ONE DIRECTION and support them no matter what but it doesnt seem to good of an idea….
I disagree I actually would like to see them more, and they’re funny and charismatic so if they want to have a show it realy isn’t up to us it’s up to One Direction but I do agree at time they are innapropriate. Not trying to argue with anyone ‘kay? But I agree with the comment about scripted freedom I want them to be themselves that’s why I like them.
They are really good singers but they can’t be actors. And they’re not this kind of bans. If they have a show … they will stop to create music and they will have no time for their fans. And people will start to perceive them more like actors … I’m not sure for this …
