With only the three episodes “iBalls,” “iToe Fat Cakes,” and “iMeet the First Lady” left of “iCarly” season 5, production on season 6 begins in the next few months. While creator Dan Schneider and his writers might have a few surprises up their sleeves, it looks like we won’t be seeing any huge developments in season 5 with Sam and Freddie’s relationship or Carly and Spencer’s father – who, strangely enough, is the main focus of “iMeet The First Lady.”
It is also possible that season 6 of the show could be its last. Miranda Cosgrove will be heading off to college in the fall and Jennette McCurdy has signed a deal with United Talent Agency and is expected to focus more on her music and star in her own television pilot. Obviously the show can continue under these circumstances, but things have reached a point of uncertainty.
So, now that we’re starting a new year and looking back on 2011, we’re wondering your thoughts on how you would make 2012 the best year and season 6 the best season of “iCarly.”
Would you want the writers return to their Seddie storyline? Even if they do not make it the focus of each episode, should they at least have Sam and Freddie (Nathan Kress) further acknowledge their past relationship? How about Creddie? Should we ever get to see Carly and Spencer’s father? Who would be the best actor to portray him? And what amazing guest stars would you like to see in the final season? Should there be more music from Miranda and Jennette? Or, better yet, a huge musical finale?
