While there is still no word on the story of Illumination Entertainment’s highly-anticipated sequel “Despicable Me 2,” an exciting big of casting news was released yesterday. Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men) will join the cast of the animated film as a possible villain “El Macho” and is said to have a son “Machito.”

“Despicable Me 2″ is set to hit theaters July 3, 2013. While unconfirmed, Steve Carell is expected to return as the loveable villain Gru and Nickelodeon’s own Miranda Cosgrove will likely reprise her role as Margo, the oldest of Gru’s adopted daughters.
