Dora the Explorer‘s newest musical adventure “Dora’s Explorer Girls” will premiere this Sunday, August 7, at 8 p.m. on Nick Jr. The special depicts Dora not as the young explorer followed by her monkey friend Boots, but as the older, sundress and legging-wearing teen with her four best friends, Kate, Alana, Emma, and Naiya, from Nick Jr’s Dora’s Girls website.

“Dora’s Explorer Girls” follows Dora and her friends as they make their way to a Shakira concert. Unfortunately, the girls lose their tickets and must follow a map to find them – leading them on a wild adventure.
