Meet The Cast Of Nickelodeon’s New Show “How To Rock”

Next year, Nickelodeon will premiere its new show “How To Rock.” Based off of Meg Haston’s book “How to Rock Braces and Glasses,” the show follows a Kacey Simon, a once-popular student who finds herself forced out of her group of friends. Now at her lowest, she makes unlikely friends with the band Gravity, becoming its lead singer, and helps lead it to success in its rivalry with her old friends’ band The Perfs.

Soon, filming will begin on “How To Rock” and we will be sure to keep you updated on all new information. Before then, check out the stars below.



Cymphonique Miller stars as Kacey Simon. A musician and actor, Cymphonique has had songs played on Radio Disney, has guest starred in “Big Time Rush,” “True Jackson VP,” “The Troop,” and “Just Jordan,” and plays Holly in “Phineas and Ferb.” She has toured with Raven-Symoné, Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato, JoJo and released a full album “Fabulous Girl” in 2010. Cymphonique will contribute to writing music for “How to Rock.”






Max Schneider will play Zander, a member of Gravity. Max is a musician, actor, and model. Most recently, he starred alongside TeenNick’s Keke Palmer in Nick Cannon’s upcoming film “Rags: A Hip Hop Fairy Tale.”






Lulu Antariksa will play Stevie, a member of Gravity. An actor, Lulu has appeared on many popular shows, including “Zoe 101,” “Monk,” and “ER.”



Noah Crawford will play Nelson, the final member of Gravity. Noah played Young Earl in “My Name is Earl,” and guest starred in an episode of “True Jackson VP.”



Samantha Boscarino will play Molly, Kacey’s ex-best friend and a member of The Perfs. Samantha has played roles in the Tyra Banks film “The Clique” as well as “JONAS,” “True Jackson, VP,” and “Wizards of Waverly Place.”



Halston Sage will play Grace, Kacey’s ex-best friend and other member of The Perfs. Halston is an actor who will appear in “The First Time” alongside Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice.



What a great cast! We can’t wait to see “How to Rock” on television. How about you?

  1. Hoorah. Another show about becoming a slave to fame and popularity. What happen to shows about real kids. Not kids with perfect genes and singing, and were actually flawed, realistic and went to school and weren’t fame whores. Oh wait, you can’t sell a tie-in soundtrack when your show is about regular kids.

  2. I am very happy for Ms.Miller and the cast. However, this makes me sad to see this constantly in Hollywood where if we’re lucky there will be a lead black talent but the main cast will be all white. This makes me question if producers think a black lead will not have a successful run. I miss the 90s Nick where the kids looked like real kids and were virtually unknown.
    All that… Kenan and Kel… even Fresh Prince… Martin.. My Brother and Me. Cosby show. :(
