Victoria Justice, Nickelodeon Nominated For Imagen Awards
The Imagen Awards program was started in 1985 to recognize the positive portrayal of Latinos in the media and to serve as a bridge between Latinos and the entertainment industry. This year, Nickelodeon is being recognized in three different categories with five different nominees.
“Victorious” star Victoria Justice is nominated for the Best Young Actress in Television award alongside Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer from “The Fresh Beat Band” and Disney’s Selena Gomez. “Dora The Explorer” and “Go Diego, Go!” are nominated for Best Children’s Programming. The Dora 10th Anniversary Campaign is nominated for Best On-Air Advertising.
Actress Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place, Larry Crowne) will host the 26th Annual Imagen Awards on August 12 in Los Angeles.
Winners are chosen by industry executives and Latino community leaders.
Congratulations to the Nickelodeon nominees! You can see all of the categories and nominees on The Imagen Foundation website.
