Are you planning on picking up the soundtrack? Did you enjoy “Locked Up?”
How long did Locked Up take to film and what was the funniest thing that happened on set?
It took about 2 weeks to rehearse and film. Not sure of the funniest thing that happened on set, but we were nervous when filming the “I Want You Back” performance, because we were outside and RAIN was threatening. We wrapped at about midnight, and like TWO SECONDS after our 1st A.D. yelled “That’s a wrap” it started POURING DOWN rain. So we got luckyyyyy.
Hahahaha, the bellman dude got arrestedd
Yep. And his character name was “Kreploch” – which is actually like a ravioli that you find in chicken soup at some delis. True!
Bonus Track: Broken Glass (new FULL version!) OMGGGGG! Life’s complete! You’re genius, Dan
Aw, thanks. Broken Glass is AWESOMELY performed by Matt Bennett. And I’m proud of it because it’s really the first song where I wrote the tune and the lyrics – cool stuff!
How long does it take to rehearse and how often do you have to start a scene again cause someone made a mistake
For an average episode, we rehearse about 2.5 days and take 2 days to film. And we probably shoot an average of 4 or 5 takes per scene. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends on how it goes.
Yay didn’t know there was a bonus track on the victorious soundtrack! Love the songs you guys write/perform
please tour!
There will very likely be a Victorious tour in the not-too-distant future. I hope you can go! It should be fantastic – such great performers!
I love that Beck protects Jade EVERY TIME something happens. A+ direction/character interpretation
A good boyfriend SHOULD protect his girl

Cat eating a poptart, was that a shout out to the Nyan Cat, a.k.a. the poptart cat?
Nope. I’m not even sure it was a pop tart. Was it? Very possible. Depends on what Ariana (who plays Cat) asked for, and what the prop department had ready to give her. When an actor has to eat something in a scene, we try to give them something they like.

In Canada it didt play:(t
I’m sure it will soon! People ask me (all the time) when episodes will play in certain countries, and I never have any clue. I have no control over that whatsoever – it’s totally up to the network. I have no involvement with when/where episodes play outside of America.
Please yell me you have plans to get Andy Samberg on the show. It would make my life.
We are trying! He’s GOT to play Robbie’s older brother, right?
Who does the sound design and music for Victorious/iCarly? It’s great!
Almost all music is by a guy named Michael Corcoran – and you are right, he’s an absolute genius. And a VERY nice guy. I’d be lost without him. I want him doing the music for my shows forever! (He’s also a great singer himself)
I loved the phone number given to Tori by Festus
Hahaha… me too. And guess what: It was Victoria’s idea to end that scene with her saying “Come on buddy!” – she asked me if she could do that, and I said “Sure” – and it was funny so I put it in the show

where did you come up with the name yerba?
I just did. I sat around playing with words and names in my head, and somehow, I landed on “Yerba”. I liked it because it’s simple and sounds real, even though it’s fake.
WOULD YOU RATHER EAT BBQ CHICKEN WINGS, GENERAL TSO’S CHICKEN, SPAGHETTI OR CAT?
Spaghetti (pasta) has pretty much been my #1 favorite food since I was little. Although now, sushi is a VERY close 2nd (GOOD sushi).
ere did the whole jade hating skirts over jeans thing come from? Always wondered that haha and u should do an episode where jade gets like amnesia or something and is nice
I’m not sure. I write those “Things Jade Hates” segments. I think I remember once hearing a friend of mine’s wife say she hated it when girls wear skirts over jeans. So when I was writing a “Things Jade Hates” segment, and I had to think of things for her to hate, I remembered the jeans/skirts thing and put it in the script.
How do you make a pear phone? I’ve just been wanting to know
You hire a brilliant prop master, which is exactly what we have. He can make ANY prop I think of appear! And they are always great. His name is Chris – and his prop partner on the show is Lynn – they are the best prop department in TV!
Loved that Robbie did the Vulcan sign and Beck said “Don’t do that!” haha.
Well, if you know my shows, you KNOW I’m a Star Trek fan (geek?)

Jade and Andre running for the hills as soon as the whistles blow during the 1st performance=the most amazing thing ever.
Hahahaa. You want to know WHY that happened? Liz (“Jade”) and Leon (“Andre”) are under 18, so we can only have them work a certain number of hours per day. Well, we were coming up on the time limit for them… and we had not yet finished that scene. And we MUST let them off work on time, because that’s a state law that we have to obey. So… we had a problem. The scene wasn’t finished and we were quickly running out of time on Liz and Leon. That’s why I had them take off RUNNING AWAY as soon as Tori’s shoe hit the Chancellor’s eye. That way, Liz and Leon EXITED the scene. So they were released on time, and we were able to shoot the rest of the scene without them.
And see, you just thought it was a funny choice!

On August 27, Nickelodeon’s own The Fresh Beat Band will join the celebration with huge stars like Cody Simpson, Girls Night Out, Action Item, and Jacob Latimore during the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day presented by Hess in New York City. The 16th annual day-long tennis and music festival kicks off the 2011 US Open and is hosted by La La Anthony and Quddos. The US Open runs from August 29 to September 11.
US Open Champions Nadal and Kim Clijsters, top ranked Novak Djokovic, and former champion Andy Roddick will team up with actor Bradley Cooper and New York Nicks player Carmelo Anthony to entertain during the event.
The even better news, the show is free! While performances in the Ashe Stadium Show require tickets, The Fresh Beat Band will perform on the Hess Stage on the grounds, which is free for all.
How exciting! Are you planning on attending the event? With an earlier performance on “The View” and now this, it is great to see The Fresh Beat Band gaining widespread recognition.
Are you excited for new episodes of “The Fresh Beat Band?” Out of Twist, Marina, Shout, and Kiki, who is your favorite?
Check out the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day website for more information.

Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice might be a blooming pop star, but deep down she’s also a rock and roll girl. For the last couple months, Victoria has been in Ohio filming the movie “Fun Size.” Last week, she took some time off of her busy filming schedule to visit the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland for a photo shoot with Girls Life Magazine.
What were Victoria’s favorite things in the Hall of Fame?
Just left the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame with my mom. Saw so many amazing things! We saw a U2 concert in 3D, visited the “Women Who Rock” exhibit. Saw a video of Melissa Etheridge performing “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin & had my mind blown. She’s incredible!! I also went through the Beatles exhibit. Which was SO cool for me. VJ=Big Beatles fan ;{).What a great day,I was surrounded by so many legends.
Sounds fun! Below is a photo from the photo shoot as well as one Victoria uploaded of herself posing with a young Michael Jackson, who’s Jackson 5 song “I Want You Back” she and the cast covered in last night’s special “Victorious: Locked Up.”
Victoria recently told MTV that when she returns home from filming “Fun Size,” she plans on recording solo music. Do you think it will have rock and roll influences?
