Jerry Trainor, who stars in the Nickelodeon series “iCarly,” will soon be lending his voice to a new show on the network, titled “T.U.F.F. Puppy.” The first season of the animated series will consist of 13 episodes and was created by Butch Hartman, who created the Nickelodeon shows “The Fairly OddParents” and “Danny Phantom.”
Here is a description of the “T.U.F.F. Puppy” show:
“T.U.F.F. Puppy follows a gung-ho, dim-witted dog named Dudley Puppy who finds himself accidentally thrust into the role of secret agent when he’s recruited by the super-secret, crime-fighting organization, T.U.F.F. (Turbo Undercover Fighting Force). He partners with Kitty Katswell, a feline superspy who is an amazing kung-fu and weapons expert. Naturally, they don’t get along, but together they protect their hometown of Petropolis and the rest of the world against the evil animal organization, D.O.O.M. (Diabolical Order of Mayhem).”
Brown Johnson, the President of Animation for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group, said about Jerry’s new role:
Jerry is a natural fit for animation. His energy and comedic timing – coupled with Butch’s brand of humor – bring Dudley and the series to life. Casting Jerry is a home run.
