Nickelodeon “School Gyrls” DVD Release Date

Mandy, Jaque and Monica formed the group “School Gyrls” in 2008 and have been hard at work creating their debut album by the same name which came out March 23, 2010 and released the “School Gyrls” movie that featured teen heartthrob Justin Bieber along with a slew of other celebrities. You can look for the DVD to be hitting store shelves in the ladder part of 2010.

Synopsis of the movie,
“School Gyrls on airing on Nickelodeon is an hour-long High School Musical esqu movie that cronicals the adventures of three freshmen at Summerdale Academy, an exclusive all-girls boarding school. Nickelodeon’s “School Gyrls,” Mandy Rain, Jacque and Monica love to dance and sing, but all have their own unique personalities. The girls join forces forming an unlikely and unexpected friendship and enter the Teen Island stunt party, where they find themselves battling the sophomore cheerleaders for dance supremacy.”

the movie is written and directed by Nick Cannon who made a name for himself on the Nickelodeon show “All That”. Cannon’s wife Mariah Carey lends her voice to some of the gyrls songs on their self titled album.
