April 5, 2010 marks the premiere date of the new Nick Jr. television show “The Bopps.” The Bopps is not only a TV show but is also a band – which is featured in the show.

Guitarist Stan Cullimore, formally from the band Housemartins and an author, has formed the new band for the show. The band in The Bopps live in a secret tree house called “The Boppstop” and they share their love of music with kids around the world via “The Gloombuster.”

Joining Stan in the band are Keith and Mike (from Littler and Cross) and Joanna Ruiz.

Stan said about the show: “The band has evolved from long-standing friendships and a shared passion for the same genre of music. Suddenly we found ourselves with enough songs for an album and the idea for the TV Series grew from there.”
